Meet our Founder
Dr. Philippe K. Z. Bah is the founder of Elephant Health Services, PLLC; a community health center with a mission to reduce societal disparities through open access to quality healthcare to all. Dr. Bah is board certified in psychiatry/mental health; he is a compassionate clinician with over 14 years of experience providing psychiatric care inpatient at major New York City private and public hospitals; as well as outpatient within large behavioral healthcare networks. He specializes in treating marginalized populations; including at risk youths, domestic violence victims, low-income immigrants, and individuals with forensic histories. Â
Dr. Bah is an accomplished scholar with two bachelor degrees (in Business Administration and Nursing Sciences), two master degrees (in Library Sciences and Psychiatry/Mental Health), and a Doctorate in Psychiatry/Mental Health. He has also held clinical assistant professor positions within graduate programs at City University of New York (CUNY) and State University of New York (SUNY).
Dr. Bah has expertise in caring for patients with serious mental illnesses, along with people carrying major psychiatric conditions such as Anxiety Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Major Depressive Disorders, Personality Disorders, Poly-substances Use Disorders, Schizoaffective Disorders, and Schizophrenia. He utilizes HIPAA compliant new healthcare technologies and innovative treatment approaches to successfully maintain clients stable and well-functioning in the community.
